On Friday Ashley, Hanah, and I attended the SSP/IGH Rotary dinner. Before the dinner we got the chance to meet Frøya, the exchange student sponsored by the Rotary, as well as Steve Mankowski, the recipient of Rotary’s Humanitarian Recognition award. Also, we, along with the SSP royalty, were in charge of promoting the Dessert Dash and collecting the donations at the end. It raised a lot of money, and all of the desserts looked so delicious! The emcee of the night was Kat Perkins, a previous contestant on the voice. She sang a couple of songs and had an amazing voice! During dinner Frøya gave a speech about coming to America and her enjoyable experience in the exchange program. At the end of the evening, they presented the Humanitarian Recognition award to Steve Mankowski, and he had a very good, heartfelt speech. I really enjoyed the dinner and had a wonderful time meeting the people involved in Rotary
