On January 6th we went to the Junior Winter Carnival Coronation. One thing that I thought was fun was that we got to greet the new Junior Winter Carnival. While we were at the Masonic Heritage Center, we saw so many different royalties. We got to see all of the candidates dresses and suits and they looked gorgeous. We took a lot of photos with the new royalty and our friends from other communities. Congratulations to the new 2024 Junior Winter Carnival royalty.

Gretas Service Project
For my first service project, I signed a two-year commitment to adopt Vista Pines park in Inver Grove. I will visit the park every month from spring to fall to clean up trash and report any issues to the IGH Parks and Recreation Department. I love this park (especially the zip line!) and am happy to keep it clean and in good shape for my local community.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Our Miss Inver Grove Heights program went to our local Cub Foods and participated in the Salvation Army Bell Ringing. We all got a bell and it was really fun to sing and dance with the royal sisters to get donations for people in need. The season of giving is so important for many people at this time of year.

Lily’s Service Projects
I started my service project for Toys for Tots on Wednesday, November 22nd by handing out flyers at the Moose Lodge to kick off my campaign. On Friday, November 24th I set out my collection box at the Moose Lodge. Over the next few weeks, I went back periodically to pickup toys when the box got full. Thursday, December 14th was the final night of the campaign. I got to walk around the Moose Lodge with SSgt Elle Mckinzie and collect some more toys. We also got to visit with Santa for a little bit. I collected over 200 toys and filled so many boxes! People were so kind and considerate.

Junior Winter Carnival Taco Feed
On Sunday, December 10th, my royal sisters and I attended the St. Paul Winter Carnival Junior Royalty Annual Taco Fundraiser at the Red Barn in Cottage Grove. We ate tacos and met the 2024 Junior Royalty candidates. We also chatted with other local ambassadors and met Klondike Kate! There was a silent auction and meat raffles too. It was a very fun event! I am looking forward to the St. Paul Winter Carnival in January!

Breakfast with Santa
On Saturday December 9th,
My royal sisters and I went to the breakfast with Santa at the Veterans Center for Parks and Recreation. We had so much fun getting to help Santa and the kids, we also had so much fun when we got to help with making the crafts! Our littles even got to read some books for story time! I enjoyed seeing the kids and my royal sisters! Also one big thank you to Rachel and Chelsea with parks and recreation!

Clouds Choir
On Friday, December 8th my Royal sisters and I attended the 11th annual Clouds Choir at the Mall of America. This uplifting event celebrates the life of Zach Sobiech who wrote the song “Clouds” as a way to say goodbye to his family and friends. The event also helps raise funds for the Osteosarcoma Fund so kids like Zach and this year’s ambassador, Megan, have access to better treatments. I felt sad but also encouraged seeing so many people there to sing Zach’s song. I got goosebumps as we sang and was delighted by the foil streamers that dropped from the ceiling. The most special moment of the night was when we met Zach’s mom after the performance.
