On the weekend of May 18th & 19th, my royal sisters and I got the pleasure of going to Westby, Wisconsin for their Syttende Mai festival. This has been an annual tradition that was started about 14 years ago by Dan & Carol Swenson. It was such a great bonding experience for all of the royal girls and our families. Some fun things that we did included going Amish shopping, meeting other royalty, participating in the Syttende Mai parade, and trying new Norwegian foods. I had so much fun and cannot wait to go back next year.

Last fall and this winter I helped the Concord Education Center, in Inver Grove Heights, by collecting clothes and baskets for kids in need of clothing. Nurse Claire was in need of getting new clothes for the students there. We got a lot of donations from the community. Nurse Clarie created an Amazon Wish List for items she needed. My mom helped post it on Facebook and we got several donations. The managers from Walmart and the Dollar Tree donated bins to put the clothes in. Some of my friends and family helped donate and thank you to all of the people on Facebook and Discovery Charter School for helping. It was so fun going to the school and dropping off the clothes, which we did several times.

Woodbury Disco

On Sunday, my Royal sisters and I attended the Woodbury royalty disco party. We wore tie dye, feather boas, big glasses and had groovy dance moves. We participated in limbo and bubblegum blowing contests, made bracelets, grooved on the dance floor and chatted with other royalty. It was a super fun event!

For my 2nd service project as Jr Miss of Inver Grove Heights, I collected books and tooth brushes to go to the Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine clinic. I made enough donations to cover all 3 of their clinics ! I did this because I want kids to have a good experience at the doctors and help them be less afraid of them and encourage reading and good dental care. I had lots of fun doing this and happy to bring smiles to so many kids!

Parks and Reca Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 23, my royal sisters and I went to volunteer with Parks and Recreation for the Easter egg hunt. There were three different rounds for different age categories. We got to scatter all the eggs around the zones and then hide the special golden eggs. We had so much fun volunteering and seeing the kids have so much fun. We are also very grateful for Chelsea from Parks and Recreation for having us help with this amazing event.

Moose Lodge Easter Breakfast

On Saturday, March 23rd, my royal sisters and I served breakfast at Easter Brunch with the Easter Bunny at Moose Lodge 1088. We handed out cookie decorating kits and Easter baskets. We took a picture with the Easter bunny too! There were lots of kids there and it was really fun!

On Sunday March 10th, 2024, me and my royal sisters of Inver Grove Heights had so much fun attending Eagan’s Fun Fest’s Bowling event! We bowled, had a great time mingling, bonding and the food was good too! We even got some of our parents to bid on some of the baskets! This was a fun relaxed event that gave us lots of bonding experience and my favorite thing about this event is all the mingling! We had loads of fun!

Moose Lodge Fish Fry

We had a busy, but fun time on Friday helping out the Moose Lodge with their fish fry! With running the food out to customers, putting the silverware together, cleaning up tables, and packing up to-go orders, we stayed busy and even got to try some fish at the end. There was never a dull moment when laughing with the cooks and our parents cheering us on!

Mardi Gras Party

On Sunday February 18 the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Program hosted a Mardi Gras Party. There were games and food and lots of dancing, with visiting royalty. My favorite part was playing Jenga with other visiting royalty.
