Cottage Grove Parade

On June 18, 2022, my royal sisters and I were in the Cottage Grove Parade. This was one of the longer ones that we have been in so far and it was so much fun. It was so hot that day. But it was nice to be in the sun! It was good to see all the other royal families too!

Kaposia Days Farewell

On Saturday, June 25th, my royal sisters and I attended a farewell ceremony for the South St. Paul Ambassadors. I loved getting to know both Maddie and Alyse throughout my year and talking to them at each of our events. After the ceremony was done, we attended a reception where we got to talk to everyone.

Sponsor Visit with Monica Jannetto

I am blessed to have Monica Jannetto as my sponsor who is a realtor with Re/Max Results. She has been a great cheerleader for me and the program.  During my candidacy, she donated school supplies for the Inver Grove Heights school supplies drive and purchased a cake in the dessert auction for our table to help support the Inver Grove Scholarship program and our community.  Most of all, she supports me with all her encouraging words.  She is an amazing person and I’m thankful for her support.

Kaposia Days Parade

On Friday, June 24th, my royal sisters and I had the pleasure of attending the Kaposia Days Parade. Before the parade started we got to go to a pre-parade social where we got to talk to the South St. Paul Ambassadors, the North Hudson Pepperfest Ambassadors, the St. Paul Winter Carnival, and the Vulcans. It was really great to see everyone there. From there, we headed to the parade line up and we got to see so many other courts such as Lakeville, Woodbury, and Rice Street and their candidates. After surviving the heat, we went to a post-parade social where we got to talk and catch up with each other. Overall it was a great day and we had a bunch of fun.

Farmington Coronation

On, Tuesday, June 21st, my royal sisters attended the coronation for the Farmington Dew Days festival. We met a lot of new royalties including Lino Lakes and Lonsdale. It was a special coronation because it was the hometown of the Queen of Snows, the Aquatennial Captain and Princess and the Junior Winter Carnival Princess of Ice and Snow My royal sisters and I had tried to figure out who the judges are going to pick.  We picked 4 correctly. We look forward to spending time with the newly crowned court.

Southview Senior Living

For my second service project, I went to Southview Senior Living to volunteer by calling bingo and visiting with the residents.  I did my best to call slow and loud and get to know all the players.  I was excited we had such a large crowd show up to play.  The center had a cart with fun prizes for the bingo winners with useful items they could have for their apartments like paper towels, candy, and fun bags that were sewed and donated from community members.  This was such a special way to donate my time and get to know such wonderful people.

Terrific Tuesday

On Tuesday, June 21st, my royal family and I attended the Terrific Tuesday event put on by Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation.  It took place at South Valley Park. There was a musical performance and we were able to dance and sing along. The musical act even brought a bearded dragon for everyone to see. The kids had so much fun bouncing like kangaroos. My favorite part was doing the hokey pokey! I can’t wait for the next Terrific Tuesday.  Thanks IGH Parks and Recreation for letting us be a part of your event.

Kaposia Days Kick-Off Dinner

Inver Grove Heights was invited to the Kaposia Days kickoff dinner.  The event was held at the Historic Concord Exchange building. The building was huge and reminded me of a castle.  The theme was Roaring 20’s.  We were able to mingle with other visiting royalty.  The meal was very fancy with multiple courses including; bread, salad, mango chicken, and cheesy potatoes and for the drinks, they offered sparkling juice.   Our table was very excited to win a dessert from the fundraiser auction with a huge bag of Candyland ‘Chicago mix’ popcorn.  We had such a fun time.
