Terrific Tuesday

I was excited to join Terrific Tuesday event at South Valley Park.  This week’s theme was a puppet show.  Ella and I got there early to help out Rachel (one of the IGH workers) with setting up the library’s signs and getting the table ready to greet people.  During the puppet show, we sat down and watched the show.  It was about an alligator bullying different animals.  Wild animals were trying to get into the birthday party and they couldn’t cross the bridge.  It was really fun and a cute story.

Aquatennial Parade

On Wednesday, July 20th, the Inver Grove Heights Royal Family traveled to the City of Lakes to participate in the Aquatenial Parade. We got the chance to mingle around with so many other royal courts that we normally don’t get to see. It was fun to see all of the Aquatennial candidates too. This torchlight parade gave us the opportunity to turn our crowns into sparkling stars with the help of some lights. It was fun to see all of the floats lit up. Once the parade started, the weather and community were perfect. It was amazing to see all the volunteers come together to put on this parade.

Miss Inver Groves 3rd Service Project

For my third service project, I spent the month of June and most of July collecting clothes and non-perishable food donations for Neighbors, Inc to celebrate its 50th anniversary. I ended up collecting 42 lbs of food and 32 bags of clothes and shoes. I am so thankful to everyone who donated whether it was clothing or non-perishables. Getting the chance to see everyone donating to help our neighbors. This was a great experience and knowing that it will make other people happy just makes it even better.

Hopkins Parade

On Sunday, July 17th, we had the chance to take part in the Hopkins Raspberry Festival Parade. We had such a great time. We had an enjoyable time at the preparade breakfast and interacting with the other royalty groups. After breakfast, we walked around downtown Hopkins and took pictures. Then we took part in the parade. It was so much fun seeing all the people enjoying the parade! Thank you Hopkins Raspberry Festival for having us at your Festival and we are looking forward to spending the rest of our reign with you.

Family Picnic

On Wednesday, July 13th, my Royal sisters and I met the new candidates and their families at South Valley Park. We had a potluck dinner and each family was assigned to bring something to share. We all mingled and got to know each other. This was my favorite portion of the event. After we ate, the current court and the new candidates went out in the field to play “two truths and a lie”.  We have a great group of candidates, and I wish them well during their candidacy.

Hopkins Coronation

On Thursday, July 14th, the Inver Grove Heights Royal Family traveled to the community of Hopkins, Minnesota. We had the opportunity to participate in the yearly goose chase which unfortunately we didn’t win. Following the goose chase, we attended the coronation of the new Hopkins Royal Family. After the coronation, there was a royal ball where we could dance our hearts out. I was given the opportunity to represent Inver Grove during the Most Congenial Musical Chairs. I can proudly say I made it pretty far. Overall it was a great experience and we all had so much fun.

Eagan Coronation

On Monday, July 11th, my royal sisters and I had the chance to attend the Eagan Funfest coronation.  We had met the candidates at the 4th of July parade and brain freeze.  I was really excited to see who was going to be crowned. We were so happy that all the amazing candidates were chosen to represent the program. We enjoyed seeing all the past Funfest Ambassadors at the event too. We had fun socializing with the other royalty groups there. I am looking forward to spending the rest of the summer with this new court

Lakeville Pan-o-Prog

On Saturday, July 9th, my royal sisters and I traveled to Lakeville to participate in the Pan-O-Prog Parade. We got to meet the new ambassadors and got to see so many other communities during the pre-parade social. It was so nice to see them all again. During the parade, the weather was amazing and we had great music playing the whole time.  2022 Miss Inver Grove Heights

Eagan Funfest

On Monday, July 4th, my royal sisters Aly, Katie, Vanessa, and I went to Eagan’s Funfest. We started off with a parade on a super rainy morning. Then, we were invited to a luncheon for visiting royalty. After that, we went dancing with the kids. Next, we were invited to compete in the brain freeze competition. Thank you Rochelle for encouraging me to come out of my comfort zone! Congratulations Aly, for making it to the final round. Lastly, we did a sparkle ride on the Ferris wheel. As Aly said, “It was a fun time at FUNFEST”.

Farmington Dew Days

On June 26, 2022, my royal sisters and I went to the Farmington Dew Days Parade. It was a little chilly in the morning but then it was so nice outside. After we got our float ready we got to do my favorite part. We walked around and talked with all the royal families, exchanged buttons, and got to see some of the great friends I have made so far. I love the parades!
