Community Easter Egg Hunt

On April 1st, after the snowstorm, we helped with the Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Memorial Community Center. It was supposed to be at Oakwood Park but it was relocated because there was no way the Easter eggs would sit nicely on the snow for the little kids. Instead, we scattered about 1,000 eggs in the gym for three waves of kids to collect and then turn in for a goodie bag. We even got to hide 3 special golden eggs and the lucky finders received a special gift. The Easter Bunny was there for kids to take pictures with and they were all so excited! My royal sisters and I took turns escorting the bunny and explaining the rules to the kids.

Moose Lodge Easter Breakfast

Senior Living

On March 31st my royal sisters and I were able to spend some time with some senior residents of a nearby senior home. They came into the kitchen area and we served them tea and cream puffs. Once they were served, we joined them and talked about anything they wanted to talk about. Most of them wanted to hear about what I did but shared some memories of theirs, too. One of the residents was a former Aquatennial Queen! It was fun to listen to their stories.

Sponsor Visit

Since I had time off of school for Spring Break, it was a great time to go visit my sponsor, Volkswagen of Inver Grove. I was able to meet with the manager, Brent, and thanked him for sponsoring me. I shared some of the exciting things I have had the opportunity to do, because of the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Program. Of course we had to took a picture in front of Herbie because it’s sort of iconic (according to my mom). I’ll be visiting them again before my reign is over and can’t wait to share even more fun experiences with them!

Eagan Bowling Fundraiser

My royal sisters and I went bowling at Cedarville Lanes to support the Eagan FunFest program. We had a really great time and I was excited that I knocked all the pins down to get a strike. The bowling alley was like a party with all the lights off, disco balls, and lots of cool lights.  At the end of the event, we decided to compete to see who could bowl the fastest.  We bowled next to Winter Carnival and loved talking with them.  The event was fun and I was so glad to spend time with everyone.

Saint Paul Winter Carnival Queens Weekend

From January 27 till January 28, 2023 I was honored to attend Queen’s Weekend at the St Paul Winter Carnival. I was really excited to meet all the Ambassadors from different cities. I got to attend several events including King Boreas and the Queen of Snow’s Coronation. Visited the Snow sculptures at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and also enjoyed being part of the Grande Day Parade. I was happy to see everyone recognized the crown and the highlight was being knighted by King Boreas and getting to know all the newly crowned royalty.

Thank you for letting me represent the IGH Scholarship Program.

Miss Princess Second Service Project

For my second service project I collected donations for “Cory’s Closet” memorial project located at Simley High School. Cory’s Closet contains personal hygiene products and clothing available to students as needed. Located in the nurse’s office, students have a convenient and confidential place to get things. These items can be important on school days as well as for home use. Students may not have money or access to buy hygiene products they need. Items available are body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Tampons and pads, socks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and more. As a Simley High School student myself, I know students appreciate having Cory’s Closet available. Donations are always needed and greatly appreciated. I will be continuing to collect donations if anyone wishes to contribute. Please contact me or school nurse Dawn at Simley High School. Thank you.

Winter Carnival Grand Day Parade

On January 28th, 2023 my royal sisters and I participated in the King Boreas Grande Day Parade. It was very cold out but it was such a great experience! Stephanie, our Queen, wasn’t with us on the float because she was walking with all the other visiting Ambassadors. This parade was a lot of fun- many bands, floats, and the newly crowned Royal Family of St. Paul.

Sincerely,
