Wednesday, April 20th we helped with the Seniors Day performance of “Into the Woods”. We served coffee, water and cookies. The cookies were amazing if I do say so myself, and I do say so myself. Loved the event, loved the cookies.

On Saturday, March 19, 2016, my Royal sisters and I kicked off a celebration of Spring with a community Easter egg hunt at Rich Valley Park. We enjoyed meeting the sponsor of the event and staff from Heartland Credit Union. The kids attending were so exciting to begin the egg hunt. The best part was the use of the bullhorn to start the hunt. The girls were excited to receive the candidate information baskets we handed out throughout the event and we hope to see some of them again this summer as candidates.

Today I went to visit my sponsor. I was so excited. I got there and asked for Tom Leonard, the owner. He was not there but Red, his father was. He is the actual owner of the business and still works. He was so nice and we took a great picture. Fury Motors has so many cars. I saw this one and thought, “This is my future ride!” Perfect end to a perfect visit.

On January 4th,2016, I met with Dan Grevas of Grevas Photography. Dan sponsored me throughout my candidacy for the Miss Inver Grove Heights Royalty Scholarship program and he is one of the kindest people I know. I was so glad to be able to go visit him again and thank him for supporting me and the program. Dan has donated a lot of time to our program by taking our formal pictures each spring. They always turn out wonderful and we are so fortunate to have him as party of the Royalty Scholarship Program.

On Thursday Liv and I spent time at Prairie Heights nursing home calling bingo. I was fun, especially because I have never done it before! Lori also brought chocolate chip cookies to share with everyone and they were so good! At the very end things got a little crazy because bingo ball O-62 was lost and we couldn’t find it. As it turned out, it never made it out of the box! Liv and I are both relieved it wasn’t lost, though I hope no one needed O-62! It was a fun evening overall, and I left knowing Liv and I are great bingo callers! 🙂

“A daughter may outgrow your lap, but she will never outgrow your heart.” That was obvious on Friday, February 5th, as girls from young to old spent the evening with their dads at the Inver Grove Heights Parks and Rec sponsored ‘Daddy Daughter Date Night’. The Inver Grove Heights Royalty and their dads enjoyed dinner, music, dancing and activities. It was a great opportunity to connect with our dads and many members of our community while we made lasting memories.

Thursday February 4th Stephanie and I went to Prairie Heights Nursing Home and played bingo. It was so much fun! Stephanie was yelling out the numbers and I tried but was not loud enough. I am pretty shy sometimes. I got to do the fun job of spinning the wheel and then handed the numbers to Stephanie. The people there are very serious about their bingo. They said we did a great job and invited us back.

On Saturday, January 30th, my royal sisters and I celebrated winter in the St. Paul Winter Carnival Grand Day Parade. During the parade line up we met other royal courts including the St. Paul Winter Carnival Junior Royalty. We exchanged buttons, took photos, and also enjoyed talking with the Winter Carnival Klondike Kate’s. Despite the rain, the parade route was packed with families since it was a nice warm winter day. The crowd was really excited and it made me feel happy and excited too! I loved taking part in such a wonderful winter celebration.

On January 29th, my royal ladies and I attended the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Royal Coronation. We witnessed the 130th Royal family being crowned with the theme of entertainment. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and amazing to see everyone joining in “The coolest Celebration on Earth”. Definitely a night to remember!
